Beta Program Terms & Data Handling

For beta participants & youth sports organization partners

What we collect

We collect only what’s needed to send your family schedule updates: your child’s first name and their activity schedule — practice times, game dates, locations. No birthdates, no photos, no GPS tracking, no Social Security numbers. We do not build profiles on your children. That’s it.

👥

Who sees it

Only the people you choose. You control the list of SMS recipients — grandparents, co-parents, caregivers, coaches — and only those approved contacts receive schedule updates. We never share your family's data with third parties.

🔒

How it's stored

Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit on U.S.-based servers. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train AI models. Ever.

🗑️

How long we keep it

When you cancel your account, all of your family's data is permanently deleted within 30 days. You can also request immediate deletion by contacting us at privacy@myfamilybrief.com.

🧒

A note about children's privacy (COPPA)

MyFamilyBrief does not collect data about minors. Children do not create accounts, submit information, or interact with our platform in any way. The only information related to a child is their first name and activity schedule — entered and managed entirely by a parent or guardian. We do not collect ages, birthdates, photos, location data, or any other identifying information about children. All scheduling data is handled with heightened care in accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and is permanently deleted within 30 days of account cancellation.

📱

SMS messaging & your right to opt out (TCPA)

SMS communications from MyFamilyBrief are limited to account notifications and family calendar summaries. No marketing or promotional messages will be sent. Anyone can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Standard message and data rates may apply. This service complies with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
